I got fined £30 for cycling "the wrong way" down the empty high street in my old town. At 6:30 AM. No signs were up to indicate I was doing anything wrong. To top it off, the rozzer who stopped me laughed while he filled my ticket out.
More recently, I got a £50 fine for going one stop down the line on a Southeast train without a ticket because the machines at the station were broken and the conductor was nowhere to be found. They insisted I must have jumped the gates (there were none at the station I'd embarked at). Fucking BTP shitstains. I never paid up. Jam it back in, in the dark.
