I've never had an opportunity to indulge in console gaming for any length of time. While my friends' N64 controllers are now nigh-unusable from floppy control sticks and stuck shoulder buttons, mine are in near-mint condition as a result of never being home to play with the damn thing. It's seen more use in the past two months than it has for the rest of the decade. I now have a CRT monitor and a VGA TV box in my dorm, so I've occasionally cycled between the Wii and the N64 whenever I'm on campus.
I've been gaming more in recent days than I have at any other time in my life. Bought a DS Lite the day it launched in the UK. Haven't been absolutely hooked ever since, but I do get completely engrossed in it for days at a time. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
