Daylight Savings was always a godsend for me as a kid, as the night when the clocks moved back would mean I'd get an extra hour in bed. Best night of the entire year. School were always somewhat fanatical about making everyone get up at six thirty sharp.
Also, this map indicates there are isolated areas which don't use DST in North America. A little odd. Jam it back in, in the dark.
