Isn't aliasing what causes the jaggies? I think you mean anti-aliasing.

I've also played for about an hour and my only gripe so far is the camera's inverted horizontal movement. I got so used to left being left and right being right by playing Halo 2 that I'm having a hard time getting used to the "normal" camera control that FF12 employs. Everything else has been great so far.

Question on Quickening (not on how it works, just something weird).

So for the people that know how quickening works. You know how when you have the option of pressing one of the buttons to choose the next part of the chain, sometimes do your presses not work and you have to spam the button? Also, sometimes when you hit the button (let's say square), it will waste about .5 to 1 second looking like it's shuffling the quickenings even though I'm not pressing R2. Do these things happen to you guys?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I think you misunderstood me. I was wondering if you guys are experiencing these "bugs" that I am experiencing. When I have a quickening option (we'll say it's square as an example), sometimes when I hit square, it won't execute and I'll have to press it again. Also, sometimes when I hit square, it will look like it will shuffle before executing the attack even though I am not pressing R2. Are you guys experiencing this as well?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Ah np. I have a hard time explaining stuff online. I guess the bugs aren't that big of a deal, but they do cost precious little seconds, haha. I've tried the mashing thing as well, but my fingers aren't fast enough so I have to do it the slow way and hope to get lucky. I'm trying to beat that optional wall boss in the beginning of the tomb, but I can't seem to finish it off. =(

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Remember, every time you use a quickening, it takes off the number of circles that you have (select a 2-circle quickening, you have only 1 left, so you can only use a 1-circle quickening unless you get a mist charge).
Oh, I see what it's doing now. When it does Mist Charge, I press it and charges my MP, then it'll do the shuffle animation, then let me do the quickening. Thanks for clearning that up, Jazz and kharaalaik.

I was speaking idiomatically.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS if you haven't finished Tomb of Raithwall:

I'm doing the sidequest where you help Dantro's Wife cure the patient in her house. Apparently, you get a reward when the patient is cured that is based upon the number of supplies you give Dantro's Wife for the medicine. The supplies required are: the Cactus Hunt drop, the Semclam Shells (5), and the Phial of Nebralim (1) in the camp where Dantro is. I found all of these supplies, but I am still getting the useless Magick Gloves instead of the Golden Amulet (double LP gain). Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? My roommate, who has the guide, told me that the map on the guide shows 2 Phials of Nebralim, but I can only find one in the game. Anyone able to get the Golden Amulet?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

There's a 75% chance that the chest will be there. If it is there, there's a 25% chance that it will be the Demonsbane. I think I read this on my roommate's official Brady Games FFXII guide or one of the guides on Gamefaqs. I only got one before moving on because of the long walk to get to the chest. Also, it's a really good sword, but it will get replaced a few hours later so don't spend too much time trying to get one if you're getting unlucky. Good luck.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

POSSIBLE NAME SPOILERS (not plot spoilers) FOLLOWING:

This is when you're headed to Archades for the first time. It is right after you visist the Phon Coast in an area called Something Uplands. I'm at the part where you fight those little tomato looking things where they inflict lots of status effects. The thing is, they seem to always parry my attacks. At first I am able to hit them, but after the first 2 or 3 go down, I can't hit any of them so I am left in a stalemate where they go off and heal and I heal and remove status effects, then we just go in this cycle until I eventually run out of mp and they kill me =\. Any suggestions on how to beat these guys? I'm also trying to steal from each of them, but it's a bit hard so if anyone knows whether or not they're worth stealing from, please let me know.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Anyone know if stealing from those tomato bosses is worth it? The ones you fight in the cave on the way to Archades.
