Like SuperDK mentioned, the GBA games are the way to go. Don't bother getting Sapphire or Ruby, get Emerald. LeafGreen/FireRed are also excellent choices.

I think we can expect a re-make. Since LeafGreen and FireRed did so well, why not make a remake? I'm sure Nintendo will make a bundle in the process.
Also, all we know about the upcoming Pokemon games is that it's Wi-Fi enabled, and you're able to connect to all the GBA Pokemon games.. Most amazing jew boots |
