Well, it pretty much still uses the same engine as its preceeder's. I just hope this is the beta, or something. The graphics look fairly crisp, but the battles still look nearly the same as the GBA versions. Anyway, I'm somewhat excited, but..for some reason, just not as much as I'd thought I'd me. Maybe the 2D battle system..? Jam it back in, in the dark.

I doubt it. If anything, one of the screens will be used as a map, or something of that sort. Who knows..
The graphics itself isn't the problem, it's just that, from the looks of it, it hasn't distinguished itself as a DS game, but like you said, Yggdrasil, a late GBA-generation game. I'm hoping there will be some sort of animation throughout the battles, or something. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Whoo, I'm getting goosebumps. If that date is accurate, we could be seeing Pokemon as early as..winter? Perhaps Q1 of 2007?
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

But..won't that just make your pokemon powerful..in just the beginning? And I also wonder what gym types the gym leaders will have. Dammit, so many questions, so little information.

Wo0t! The U.S. date of Pokemon has been revealed! At the 10th Anniversary Event, a 2007 Spring release date has been confirmed.

Bah, I hoped that the gym leaders would be more diverse..like Synthesis mentioned earlier.
And wow, the final evolutions of those starters look badass. Goukazaru and Empelt look awesome.. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

G/S had the best Gym/Elite 4 themes, without a doubt.
Either way, I don't mind. Pokemon has always had one of the best soundtracks on any Nintendo console/handheld, so I shouldn't be worrying. Jam it back in, in the dark.
