Dragon Quest V (40 points) - I had always heard about the legendary Dragon Quest/Warrior series. I even played and beat the first one way back. However, I played and beat that game more because I was a hardcore gamer than because I really enjoyed it. I tried the other Dragon Quest games but never got far into it. Dragon Quest V though is different. It is really the first RPG I found myself playing until one in the morning. It actually perks my interest both in Dragon Quest IV and the upcoming Dragon Quest VI.
New Super Mario Bros Wii (40 points) - I played this at my parents' house with my mother. Absolute fun. It does bring back the Mario of old but with new twists. Multiplayer is also fun. I can tell you, it is quite fun (and funny) to do something like jumping on whomever I am playing with's head to make a jump I'd otherwise miss. In addition, the controller response is excellent. I would have died in many a lesser game had the controls not been done so well such that I could attempt those last second wall jumps.
Devil Survivor (20 points) - When I took advantage of Gamestop's buy 2, get 1 free deal, I wasn't sure what to get. I had heard this game was decent but was still unsure. However, I took a chance and have not regretted it. This game is difficult but the fun type of difficult in which you go through a battle, maybe get crushed, learn a few things, think things through a bit, then come back and go at it again, hopefully wiser, smarter, and with a much better, well-thought out plan.
