I'll probably be one of the people selling their old DS to get this. Either way, i've been meaning to replace it since my L and R buttons are BOTH busted, they work on occasion, but about 75% of the time I start up the DS, they're messed up. So I want to start fresh with that either way, it looks more pimp than the current DS.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Especially playing Phoenix Wright. Reading and riding don't mix.
I'd probably just stick at two also... At it would be pointless to keep it at it's brightest level wasting the battery. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Or maybe just people who are curious on what the hell you might be doing. Happens alot when I play Trauma Center at school. Or maybe there's just alot of Japanese people who want to surround their friend who was lucky enough to get DS Lite before it sold out.
I though the timing was off when the decided to release the Micro though. They had just released the DS and anyone in their right mind would reccomend a DS over a Micro since it does the same damn thing and more. (I realize this has NOTHING to do with the topic. But at least they're timing the upgrade right, better than what could be said for the Micro.) Having no idea what the hell i'm saying anymore, it would help improving somethings that we wrong with the DS to begin with... Brightness... Angles, Size... The look. That kind of thing. Most amazing jew boots |
I just ordered my DS Lite on Lik-Sang the other day. I would've waited to get the DS Lite when it released next month, but i'm going on an out of state trip for school and my DS is really messing up on me with the crappy response (or no response at all) R and L buttons.
So I asked my mom to get it for me since she owed me a birthday present anyway, so I should be getting it in due time before my trip on friday. I can't wait. I have really high hopes for it. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I'm a bastard and I can't wait, so I imported it. I highly doubt they're gonna do the same thing they did in Japan... With the whole, "Let's release the white one first and make people whore our product. Then a week later, we can release two more colors and make even more money!" idea. Either way, the US might not get the same colors as the Japanese did. They got a solid red, electric pink, pure white, graphite black, and a turquoise blue color.
And what did we get? Silver, Electric Blue, a Nintendogs edition, and a Mario Kart edition. Whoo. Party. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Actually, there are two different reds.
The Mario Kart One they classified as Hot Rod Red. This one came with a white top and a light-copperish bottom. The Solid Red in Japan is well... Solid Red. I though the Nintendogs one was a teal or something... I might be mistaken. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Ah, that clarifies everything with the Teal thing. Whatever though...
I seriously can't wait any longer for my DS Lite... Last time, I checked it on the tracker for UPS, it's SOMEWHERE in Kentucky. Shouldn't be much longer now until it reaches New Jersey. Especially sucks for me, because I just bought the New Super Mario Bros., and I have NOTHING to play it on. T_T FELIPE NO |
Mario Bros came out just this past Tuesday... The DS Lite in Japan came out over two months ago...
Whatever. I just got my DS Lite today, and god this thing is a sexy piece of technology. At least the people at Lik-Sang were nice enough to provide DS users with a guide on how to switch up the language. Not a big deal though, but I managed to find my way without the guide. Looking back at my old DS, and looking at my current one. I NEVER want to go back to my old one, as nice as that was, I just can't get over the fact that the DS Lite fixed most of the problems the original DS had. It's worth every penny. As for screen protectors for this thing, the ones they have out now will work just fine, except you have to line up the upper screen a little differently since the plastic is slightly bigger than the screen there. So you don't need to import any fancy DS Lite specific screen protectors, any of them will do just fine. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
But trust me, after a while, you tend to ignore it. You'd rather just play the game than freak out about fingerprints. How ya doing, buddy? |
Come to think of EB and it's stupid employees. Bastards over there sold me a used copy of Dark Cloud 2... That was a fucking demo disc.
So much for hiring smart employees. It's why i'd rather get a job at Gamestop... People seem smarter there. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Nice picture, Elixir.
I imported mine a little while ago. Mine doesn't have any dead pixels, but it does suffer from that clicky thing. Doesn't interfere with my gameplay or anything. Probably the only time I ever touch the bottom area is when I adjust the light settings and my alarm. (Yes, I use my DS as an alarm clock.) If there's anything I noticed, people at EB are stupid as hell. Bastards sold me a DEMO DISK OF DARK CLOUD 2. I did get my money back. Now I don't buy anything from them anymore. They're too stupid to handle anything. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Aren't they already releasing this game in March or something?
By that time, people would've played PW:AA - Justice for All and know who the hell Franziska von Karma is anyway. Either way, top game on my list for that month. Period. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Here's to downloading ROMS.
![]() I was speaking idiomatically. |
Anyway, my L button is starting to fail on me again. :|
I'm come to two conclusions... Either call Nintendo Customer Support, or go and splurge on a Black DS. I have the the imported Navy Blue one right now :| Advice? What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I'll probably just go for the black one under the extended warranty... This is the bad karma I keep getting for not getting warranties on EITHER one of my DSs... But then again, Lik-Sang didn't say anything about warranties at the time... I was just hoping it wouldn't happen again. I think that's the bad thing about the DS. Those damn shoulder buttons.
I might just give it sometime though... The only thing I really need the L button for right now is Mario Kart for the DS Olympics, but I could just use the X button or something... But I doubt my parents would actually notice if I got a black one or not. In comparison (from afar, anyway) it's hard to tell which one is which. They're just really stingy about what I spend towards video games... I don't care either way. I just have to pay off other things before I can focus on a DS. FELIPE NO |
I STILL NEED TO GET THE FIRST OUENDAN. WTF. At least they're coming out with a sequel to EBA.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
What he said, that's where I heard it from. :|
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Considering the fact I need a new DS really, really soon, I've been considering my options...
At the moment I have a Navy Blue DS that I imported. The top screen is fizzing out and my R button has failed me again. I've been trying to think of what color to get my new DS as... Black is really common, White is common, but Pink is uncommon... But Pink just seems a little weird. I MIGHT get that Crimson/Black one, but i'm not sure I'm so hot about the colors... I dunno. T_T There's nowhere I can't reach. |
And curses!
![]() The package is $150!! And the coupon I have for Target expires on the same day! Oh well, I should try to save up enough anyway. <_< This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Imagine it on Hard Rock mode. ![]() But keep practicing, you're going to be especially frustrated with Canned Heat as you go up the difficulty ladder. <_< I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Anything that protects the screen should work fine. I've used the same one for two DSes already, and it works just fine.
As for that, that one is good, mostly sticks on the screen, but doesn't have a shitload of adhesive that would leave residue on the screen. Even if it does it, just use some olive oil, that residue isn't water soluble anyway. Stuff would come right off using olive oil. As for the warranty, if you worry about it breaking within the next year or your shoulder buttons failing like mine have every year, then go for it. $14 to save you from spending another $130 is a total win. How ya doing, buddy? |
