Shoe Situation
Through the title, I mean, what's your situation on you wearing shoes around your house and friends wearing their shoes.
Being my house is a typical Asian household, I usually ask my friends to take off their shoes just before they enter the living room, leaving their shoes near the door. As for myself, I walk around the house in them and place them in a convenient location so I could access it from all walks of where I'm going. I always found it a huge pet peeve of mine when people sit on their feet on furniture while they have their shoes on. I think to myself, where the hell has that shoe been and you're getting all that dirty crap on MY bed? On MY couch? Oh, hell no. So what about you? Are you a little more lenient or are you as stingy as me? Jam it back in, in the dark. |

It's pretty much the same for me if I'm at a friend's house. Regardless, I take my shoes off. It's only being polite, but it changes if I'm only gonna be in his house for less than five minutes or so. If we're there to run in and grab something and he or she doesn't take off their shoes, I'll just follow them and go with my shoes on.
