Pretty straightforward week.
3 pts - title 2 pts - Mars Needs Cheerleaders 1 pts - Unbreakable Stained Glass If title doesn't win this week (and it looks like it will), I'm going to be pretty pissed. It's one of the more refreshing newer pieces of VGM I've heard recently (kinda like how Sekaiju no MeiQ and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon are). It has all the gamey textures I love from chiptunes and the like, but the composition is all over the place in a way I absolutely love and never lets up on the awesome. Kinda rockin', kinda techno, but definitely awesome either way. I can't say I feel that strongly about any other track up there, as this was a pretty bland week otherwise, although sarasshu's composition was a lot more interesting than his nomination, unfortunately... I don't outright oppose Ninja Gaiden 1 or 2 on the NES, but it's close...VGM-wise, I don't place it at Megaman 2 level, but I wouldn't say yes to a second NES Ninja Gaiden 1 or 2 pick afterwards...On the other hand, arcade NG, NG3 or the Xbox game, I've totally fine with. Jam it back in, in the dark.
I'm taking over this town...
I'm screaming for vengenace... I'm shouting at the devil... I'm not dead and I'm not for sale... Ain't lookin' for nothin' but a good time...
