Suikoden V-For characters, their interaction and overall storyline.
Valkyrie Profile-For gameplay, music and atmosphere. FF6-Still a measure of excellence with good reason. Does all of the traits above right enough to make a great whole. Hon. Mentions: Suikoden 2, Star Ocean 2 (excluded for developer/series redundancy), La Pucelle (my favorite SRPG to date, but no way is it better than the top three). Jam it back in, in the dark.
