If you're that uneasy about doing the bios thing you could pick up a PCI USB2.0 card for a few dollars ~
You could actually even one up that and get one that has both USB2.0 and Firewire. I can understand why a BIOS update would be a little bit irksome. I know there's an updated version for my BIOS but there's no way I'm updating it seeing that everything is working perfectly already. If you're not on SP2 then you could apply that, I know SP2 (or is it SP1) adds extra things to do with USB. How ya doing, buddy? |
