What I love about Wild Arms titles is how they flesh out the bad guys. Sure, you have some villains that are batshit insane, but there were times where I felt really awful after killing an antagonist =( Not every villain needs a motive, but you sometimes sympathized with the bad guys, and it made the whole storyline experience (although structurally cookie-cutterish) very intriguing.
I never touched four, and I've seen my brother play five. The voice acting is atrocious and the removal of the anime intro is a step backwards. The opening/ending sequences added a nice finesse to the series for some reason. The combat looked awesome, though (hex grid stuff). Wish I could say the same for the music... Never heard #4's soundtrack, but 1-3 have freaking AWESOME songs. Change in composers = fail. Five (from what I heard of it) was bland sounding.
I'm waiting for Crossfire. I've heard it plays like a difficult strategy game. VERY difficult =D Hope it gets released state-side (and soon).
Jam it back in, in the dark.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.
