I had a problem recently with the monitor clicking into safe mode and not pulling out. Turned out this was tied to my Motherboard! I was unsure what the problem was, then on Christmas morning no less, it refused to start up. I looked to my brother and said "yep. Motherboard. Easy answer =D"

When does it do it? While gaming? Randomly? How often is it? Could you describe the problem a little more?

If it's a monitor problem, the monitor would refuse to start up. If it reverts, I'd say it's an internal card of sorts. Once a monitor part goes on the fritz, it's kaput. Internal cards can chug along for a bit longer before shitcanning, though. Could be a corrupt mobo. Heck, it could be a fan going out on your video card. Anything more you could tell would help narrow it down =o

How ya doing, buddy?
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.
