What would the time be for us? When you say sketch I imagine only spending about 10 to 20 minutes, if that, on a piece. Is that what you are intending? That's what I imagine. I like some of the ideas for categories there, and I think a stickied thread that is periodically locked and started a new is fine for this kind of thing.

 Here is my sketch for the sci-fi robot smashing a human flat. Uh you do mean flat, as in say apartment or something and not flat like squishing right? Either way, this took me around 25 to 30 minutes. How ya doing, buddy? |

Heh your mechs sort of remind me of Robotech, the form between jet and full blown robot.
