Yeah evidently Heath Ledger croaking from suicide deserves more screen time than college kids getting gunned down ;O Nice job, media~
Seriously, this was a top headline on Drudge for, like, a DAY (more like an afternoon). When the Virginia Tech shitstorm hit, that was on the top for over a week.

That's because a celebrity didn't kill himself that week.
It's unfortunate that something like this has happened, however I certainly wouldn't put video games any where as the cause of this happening. There are tens of millions of video games, many violent, that are sold and these shootings are merely a very small percentage of what people have done.
The problem is more than likely far more complicated than we care to admit. It's already been reported from this news story that he was off his medication, so I imagine that that played a factor. Besides he was obviously old enough to play any video game, however his medical condition, whatever it maybe, could have skewed his perception of the world. Again, this does not mean that video games caused it. If anything, this incident would have happened without video games happening.
Shootings, killings, at schools and everywhere else have always occurred, it's with the prevalence of the media that we hear about it more often. And we have killed for far less reasoning than whatever transpired at the college.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
