Man, those graphics are impressive. But 3 titles already announced for 13, that's rather overkill. This pretty much throws out all my excitement for 12. May as well just save up for the PS3 and the two 13 titles for it.

Nice, the thanks for the link RYU. Definitely appears to be real time, also looks like the new heroine has some sort of power to stop time. Unless that was a magic skill from the battle.

Ruliweb is streaming the footage here too.
http://ruliweb2.dreamwiz.com/ruliboa...e_ps04&main=ps Also, is the heroine's weapon like an actual gunblade? Been watching the footage, and it looks like the blade is on a pivot on the gun. How ya doing, buddy? |
Sweet, the trailer is awesome! Love the music. And from that viewing, it looks like I guessed right about the weapon. It appears as if it can morph/transform between a gun and a sword, essentially it's a gunblade.
The combat looks to be much more well paced. Looks like you set up a combo of attacks, kinda of like Legend of Legaia or Chrono Cross, where you can fuse magic and physical attacks in one turn. Pretty sweet! Definitely another game I'm looking forward to on the PS3. I was speaking idiomatically. |
![]() Really lovin' the new weapon too. It's kinda like a switch blade, where it can transform between a blade and a gun. Really neat. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |

Oh that's a good point. And from rewatching the trailer, it seems like she had lighting like aura around her during that train sequence. Also looked like her bullets were of lighting element. But then again, that could be why they might name her "Lightning"... Even though it is a really pathetic name. But, then again, the font for "Lightning" was some what jazzed up, normally character names were of regular similar fonts.

![]() Anyway, I'm sure we're all in agreement that "Lightning" is definitely a name that's not meant to be. And that it relates to, possibly, weapon element. Most amazing jew boots |
Looks like Kotobukiya is making FF13 figures as well, their Play Arts line must be doing really well or something. Here's a prototype of FF13's heroine, lookin' pretty good.

Some new scans, apparently from Famitsu.

Ohh, very good theory Vash. Perhaps her name is Ixion, which could be why SE has yet to release her name.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
IGN also posted some new info on their site, as according to Gaimaga as well. Somethings that caught my eye:
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Mmm, pretty informative interview.
Just a few things that caught my eye though, like how the commands will be executed in a continous chain/combo (which is pretty much what the E3 trailer demonstrated), speedy battles seems to be aim of theirs too. I also like how they said they're trying to recreate FF7AC's intense/fast-paced battles into a playable form for FF13. Hmmm, maybe there'll be a chase battle on vehicles (much like Cloud on his Fenrir). As for FFvs13, its story is, apparently, one of tragedy. Also the hero's design isn't complete and may see some changes. An interesting metaphor that they used was that they depicted FF13 as light and FFvs13 as being its shadow. A playable FF13 demo planned for 2007's E3. Man, if gaming magazines start distributing that demo (after E3, duh), then I may have to get the PS3 sooner than I had planned. Oh and here are a couple images of the heroine in figure form for the FF13 Play Arts line from the latest issue of Hobby Japan. ![]() ![]() Also, according to the site below, they plan to release another 3 titles to the Fabula Nova Crytallis. Totalling 6 titles for FFXIII. http://www.ffextreme.com/item-560.html No doubt that one of them will be a movie. I'm predicting that one of those titles will be on the PSP, probably utilizing the supposed connectivity that the PS3 and PSP will have. And I'm guessing that the last title could be an online game for the PS3 (since they've been boosting about how there'll be many different worlds, and how each game could even be in a different era). There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Anyway, I checked the original source of the images and found the image hosting site they used. The guy uploaded a few other scans. http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=109046 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway regarding the figure, it's definitely looking top notch. It really seems like with each series they release more improvements are made. It's really apparent when you compare the FF7AC and FF8 figures. They really improved the articulation with the FF8 line (Squall being the best of that one). Heh, and while I'm on the topic of figures (off topic, I know), some images of the FFX Play Arts sprung up in my daily surfing. They're planned for a June 25th release in Japan, and should be hitting these shores in August, as according to Diamond Comics (the distributor). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tidus http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/999/4036go.jpg http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/476/4027hj.jpg http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9562/4042np.jpg http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8282/4057tp.jpg http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/219/4062cw.jpg Auron http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/5567/4073hy.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/7656/4088wa.jpg http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9335/4093li.jpg http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/3760/4100gp.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/8048/4111pp.jpg Yuna (for some reason she has purple lip-stick on) http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9951/4120lj.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/8537/4131kv.jpg http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/1817/4140ot.jpg http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/2729/4157cs.jpg http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7087/4160sj.jpg http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/493/4177xq.jpg Source: http://www.moeyo.com/2006/06/post_397.html This thing is sticky, and I don't like it.
