[General Discussion] You are a black mage. POWER UP!

In many typical RPGs, you'll almost always get the archetype mage that commands the powers of what is normally known as "magic" or any derivatives of, which now spans to many various disciplines of sorcery magic or technology that harnesses mystical powers for combat.

I've always had the fondness for any fire based magic. I found myself always almost using that type of magic first, and would almost always use it extensively on most enemies and bosses, unless of course they were immune to it or absorbed it as a source of power, SEE: IFRIT.

Here are two questions for you:

1) In the RPG world, what type of BLACK harm magic do you find yourself using almost extensively against enemies, assuming it will damage them?

2) If you YOURSELF were a black mage, what type of magic would you like to be a master of and why? Is it because it suits your personality, or that you think it'd be also helpful in certain situations? So you could be one that specializes in Lightning spells, however, you also have some proficiency in say, a poison spell?

I should have pointed out that the magic should be more for combat use in your lives as a mage, not as a convenience.

Ah, but if you did look like Mr. Lambert, you could run around frying people going "there can only be ONE!".

Black mages can learn white magic, no? Yeah I get your point that this should be Black exclusive spells, but I think Holy is the only white magic that does damage, therefore I included it in the poll as well.
