Oh man this is great, $200 CANADIAN DEPOSIT REQUIRED!

Preorders for the PS3 begin Monday October 16th.

US for the Wii, just for the heck of it, even though Nintendo land is not here.

I got this message in the mail through the EB email updates.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well, all I want to know is what time does the Sony Gamer show thing starts next week.
More like Sprouticus. Also, what the hell with both that PS3 Oblivion and GT HD screenshots!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I honestly don't know what those are....I'd thought you'd stick your PS1/2 memory cards there?

Thanks Metal, Skills, I'm not very famliar with those types of memory "cards" if you will. Maybe out of those three I know the type that the digital camera uses, but the others I haven't had much exposure too. I guess its just another medium for data storage. Cool.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Thank god they bothered with the name change for the controller.
From "PooS" to "SixAxis". I still like the "Dual Shock" name, but obviously would not be fitting for the non-vibration PS3 controller.

Yes, I had the "glorious treat" of seeing that commercial in theatres before getting to the feature presentation. >_>

I honestly thought it was a Spiderman 3 promo at first.

How ya doing, buddy?

I don't like babies. They have nothing to do with the next generation of gaming.
Babies? What babies? I honsetly haven't seen any newspaper/television ads that depicts BABIES with the PS3. As a matter of fact, I've only seen one advertisement in the threatre trailers for the PS3. It was lame, but maybe you could count that kid going to the rooftop to wait for the alien invasion of PS3s as a baby?

Xbox one where a baby is shot out of the womb, grows old and slams into a grave was brilliant too.
I personally found that add a bit too bold for my tastes. I wasn't offended, but I could see why it was banned (if I recall correctly).

I have to say these current adds are much more interesting than the "kid leaves his apartment and goes to the roof with lots of other gamers" add. I found that boring. Aren't the children supposed to go downstairs and walk the street to the electronics shop? Maybe it's air delivery LOL.

Those are probably only the "special 3 day price" listings, and will most likely go up by $10 after that. They did the same thing with FFXII, and now it's selling for $59.99 from the 3 day price of $49.99.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is all the 3rd party Mahjohng games or Saturday Night Bowling Extreme, or something along those lines.

Would these people also include your boss, LOL. I doubt it, but hey, if even your boss said so, why not? Do you have any vacation time left or anything?

What causes more chaos and panic in Japan than Godzilla himself?

The launch of the PS3!

Coming to a store near you!

Also, I like how Ken Kutaragi basically got a customer base he'd have a fun time communicating over.

You know, after reading that last article again, I feel pretty sorry for the Chinese elderly people that waited in line. Sure they got compensation of 20,000 yen from the businessmen, about $185 USD, and waiting in line is a pretty low skilled "job" if you will. Even with all this laughing and joking aside, I do feel sorry for some of them that just need that money, and have to bear through the throngs of pushy crowds and the like (and perhaps the bewilderment on the Japanese store clerk's faces as well, lost in language).

How ya doing, buddy?

Have a nice fright.

I do have night classes today, but I do have a break before then, so there is a Best Buy and EB close by, I'll see if there are line ups there as well :shurgs:.

How many units are Best Buys supposed to have anyways? 8 per store? Not much of a line up then, unless they're going crazy for the games.

Well surprise surprise, my local Best Buys, Walmarts, and Futureshops are having their share of the line up of die hard fans. There were about 10 people for each store lined up cuddled up in sleeping bags and chilling out, literally. I like how I asked the girl as I bought some blank CDs how much the PS3 was, $659.99. It looks like they'll start handing out number tags at 7:00 AM tomorrow, so the night owls will obviously have first dibs.

Right now it's 30 minutes to 8 o'clock my time. I went to bed at 10 pm last night, got up about 30 minutes ago and feel great. I honestly don't think I could have had the same feeling sleeping out in the cold like it is in Canada. I wonder if right now those I saw yesterday in sleeping bags still have the same excitement as they had when they first started lining up. Man, such a long wait for them. =/

Well, I've NEVER slept on the streets for anything, and I just can't see myself doing it no matter if it's the Wii 3, Playstation 8, Xbox 1080, or whatever the hell it throws my way. But all I can say for sure is the hands on the clock in side the stores must be CRAWLING at the slowest pace possible.

SOLDIER, that's the 20 GB one, FAIL. Ha! It's not like I didn't know, after talking to you before hand
