Diablo II definately has gameplay in the bag. Diablo did after all resurrect the near dead RPG genre in 1997.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Diablo isn't hard to find, Blizzard's site has the demo to both Diablo and Diablo II if you're interested.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

As long as you still have the CD key (on the case), just download the discs, and run daemon tools to play online.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Those who do every quest will get more out of the game than those who rush to the act bosses.

Try out these franchises and see how they play (I heard they were really good)
Ultima 1-7 (the later ones suck)
Might and Magic 1-7 (ditto)
Wizardry

Computer Gamig World calls them the "holy trinity" of PC RPGs.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Might & Magic:
I & II: Haven't played them yet and i guess i'll never do, the graphics are just too bad, you can only save the game at the inn and there's no automap!
III: I got the Might & Magic Trilogy (III-V) @ Ebay so i can finally finish The Islands of Terra, it's really damn hard!
IV-V: Besides VI my most favourite games of the M&M series, you can play months with that game!
VI: How should i describe it? OMG I JUST LOVE IT! Okay, the graphics are bad, the (german) voice acting is horrible, but the world is really big and it's so fun and it's fantastic to discover the world!
Oh well, i think i just typed too much
VII: I bought the game when it was released but didn't play it for too long, because on most CDs there was no music pressed - and i think M&M is living from it's music. I was too lazy to ask 3DO for a replacement...well guess i'm a bit too late for that now, since 3DO doesn't exist any longer I wish someone could arrange the Soundtrack for me (i've ripped the OST for VI - The Mandate of Heaven already, hopefully it will spread all over GFF) or else i'll have to buy a budget version of VII.

And Wizardy? Maybe i'll give it a change sooner or later
I also find the Heroes of Might and Magic series a great complement to the Might and Magic series. Try that out too if you're into strategy RPGs.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

They heavily integrate RPG elements in a turn based strategy game. Unlike most games that claim to use RPG elements, the HoMM series is a true RPG-Strategy hybrid.
