Apparently someone on Wikipedia was not so happy about the fillers continuing. Well it's not that bad, but still I haven't continued my online watching of the Japanese episodes since #164 rolled around. Really, how much longer are they going to punish us?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Talk about anticipation:
Spoiler:
Now we can finally move on with the story. The character development can continue. Well, let's hope the anime ratchets up as well; it'd been nearly a year since we've seen any manga chapters make the transition to the TV.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

They should really just take a break between seasons, that'd let them make better fillers (because you know they would in spite of the pause). It's a quantity vs quality issue. If FOX released shows weekly in stead of in seasons (with a 3-9 month pause), I'm sure most of the episodes would suffer for quality.
Is the appeal of almost a full 52 episodes a year worth the sharp decline in quality?

I haven't been following the anime, so I can't tell if this is real but...
Spoiler:
What the fuck's with this?

I was speaking idiomatically.

I dunno if I can keep watching this series
Spoiler:
Actually I think that the fight between Rock Lee and Gaara is where the anime crested in quality. The way they present the impact of the fight and the animation style really grabs me. Watching Gai actually cry over discovering Rock Lee's inablity to continue being a shinobi because of his injuries (which Tsunade cures much later on), has much more impact than most of the other scenes in the series.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Spoiler:
I thought 311 was good for Sai's development. It showed his efforts for emotion, with humourous results. Quite different from the cold dickweed we met several chapters back.

I really hope the new episode every two weeks doesn't start becoming a habit. Also, have they confirmed a date on the movie yet or is it still Summer 2007?
You know what? If one episode a week is what it takes to avoid filler (again) for good, then I'm all for it. Manga based anime really needs to learn how to pace itself.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

You mean like Hellsing Ultimate? Forget that.

chato, how is that fair? And so what if it's getting too close to the manga? People like me won't even know if it's close to the manga unless I'm told by other people (spoilers are bad). That's how I even bothered to notice that Naruto was in filler hell.
You're telling me that if someone didn't tell you that episodes 136-220 would've just seemed just as fine as the Sasuke fight that preceded it?

And you think waiting an extra week for episodes is bad? Try The Venture Bros; it took the better part of two years to start season 2 (with only ~13 episodes per season)!

Edit: In retrospect I should've included this little nugget:
Spoiler:
Chapter 347 was the funniest chapter I've read, yuri and yaoi funservice within three pages of each other?

Beyond that there was actually a good subplot (or main plot if you didn't just pay attention to the gay sex ) between Sasuke and his little traveling freakshow he's starting now that Orochimaru has been offed.

It looks like Kishimoto's been hitting up the various Naruto communities and (heaven forbid) reading some fan-fiction and looking at the art all the teenagers like to make so much

Jam it back in, in the dark.
