Yay, that's what I've been waiting for.
Where would be a better place to hold a concert than in Central Europe? ![]() As somebody from Cologne, West Germany would be perfect for me and it's not too far away from Belgium and Netherlands, either. We've got the Games Convention concert in Leipzig, that covers the whole east. As for gaming websites and magazines, I have to admit that listening to game music has superseded any addiction to play games for me. I guess when you hang out at Gamingforce you don't need any equivalent in your language anymore. edit: May I add that the Cologne Philharmony takes approximately 2,000 people, the Cologne Arena takes approx. 20,000 ![]() Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]()

After throwing all Square-Enix games out of the window, I've come to think it would be cool to hear the main theme from Kitakama Hakase no Yuuutsu at one of the concerts. Of course, no gamer identifies with that game and I'm not even sure if I got the game's title correct. Yet, it would sound awesome if it wasn't a midi because Project-μ who made this game went bankrupt and can't afford an orchestra anymore.
As for Stuttgart as a location. Well, as long as it's not too far in the east.. ![]() All 'gamers' (I'm not a gamer and I love these game music concerts) around Hamburg or Bremen will be angry at you now, Hamu-Sumo -- but Stuttgart..that's two hours by train, no obstacle.Does Stuttgart have a Köln Arena? ![]() There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]()

I'll be around at Symphonic Shades in Cologne, because it's right around the corner, however I'm not sure yet if I'll find the time to visit VGL in Leipzig.
I was actually hoping for a traditional concert in the Gewandhaus rather than a big show with laser lights at the Arena Leipzig. The biggest problem is (and has been for the past 4 years) that the concert always takes place on Wednesdays, which usually are in the middle of a working week. Gladly there's still 8 months ahead, so I can wait for the guest- and setlist, before 7,000 seat Arena Leipzig is sold out (especially with prices equal to last year's concert) - and I'd be sure to take the most expensive seats ![]() This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Are there any news on the concert in Leipzig? It's taking place in less than 2 months and I have seen no promotion whatsoever.
Any info on the line-up? The special guests? Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the show 'cause I'm at Symphonic Shades in Cologne, but I'd love to be up to date on VGL in Leipzig, too. Last I heard was GC coming to Cologne next year so there might be another opening show. However, I'm afraid of cosplaying Solid Snakes roping down from the roof and that stuff. News about the music and guests will ease my concerns. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
There is a very interesting article about the Video Games Live Show in Leipzig at D-Frag.de.
It will be interesting to see what the show will be like in Cologne next year. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
