I remember in FFVIII, I tried the Selphie trick where you use her Limit Break, then open your PS1, "pausing" the game. Then I kept flipping through until "The End" popped up. I think I tried using that on that one weapon.

Also, in KOTORII, there's one part where you talk about Visas' homeworld with Kreia. I ended up getting all the influence I wanted with her and managed to get the dialogue options I hadn't been able to get my first playthrough.
