Man, this is deffinetly depressing. Oh well, more time to work on Kingdom Hearts II.... when i finally get my hands on that.

i've been feeding my addiction by pulling out Ocaraina of time, and Majoras mask. Now that i've got a taste of the good stuff, the new stuff better be fucking amazing.

Just watch, it'll end up being something like

Nintendo: We decided to take a bit of a Resident Evil approach

Us: how's that?

Nintendo: the camera doesn't follow you anymore, it's fixed in it's position, and we've adopted the control scheme of the classic (old) resident evil games.

Us: you know, there's a reason Capcom abanndoned that control scheme.

Nintendo: yeah but we thought it'd be cool to do something retro.

*much hatred from basically everybody, much love from the 3 (4 including myself) who actually liked that control scheme.

(Edited cause i don't know how to use brackets))

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Did it occur to anyone that the fog might be part of the story? Perhaps early on in the game there's a spell on the town or whatever to make it foggy all the time. My guess, beating the local temple will clear it right up.

Or heck, maybe they are skimping on environment, i dunno, just a thought.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I thought maybe that's what you meant, but then i thought maybe you could have meant intentional for the sake of saving money on development costs.

Also, i said that for all the people who were thinking the developers just got lazy.

This town looks huge. I would really love it if there was a truley huge city in which we could wander around, and whatnot. Maybe something that will never actually be totally exposed until the end of the game. If there were like three or four cities like this, i can't even begin to imagine how happy i would be.

My money's on one of the temples being inside/under the town al a temple 7 LttP/The Well OoT.

Aren't you the one who argued that the graphical cut backs of RE4 on PS2 made the game look better than on GC?

I'd find the quote, but it was before the crash.

(I could be wrong, but i distincly remember you being the one to say it looked better on PS2)

I was speaking idiomatically.

well now i just don't know what to think.

At any rate, do we know if those screens are official, finished product? They do look a little granulated. If these are just screens from the first draft, then we can expect them not to look as wonderful as the finished product.

deffinetly a good point, but then it raises the question: why do they bother making it compatible with Gamecube at all? Last i heard, Revolution was set for release near the end of 2006. That translates to fall release, around the same time as TP. I realize that this will push Revos when the time comes, but making it compatible with Gamecube seems almost like they don't expect us to buy a Revo.

I'm not upset by the way off release date (well ok, maybe a little) just pointing this out.

But a boss like the WW forest boss? please, Worst boss battle, ever.

I'm holding out for really epic boss battles. Boss battles that will keep me occupied for half and hour straight (k, maybe that's a little much) Bosses that change their strategy after a while so i have to refine mine. I know this is just wishful thinking, but i can always dream.

Wrong. Sorry, but the OoT may be long and tideous, but it's classic none the less, and MM's water temple was perfect for me. Especially the swimming in the Zora form.

I guess that's not enough to re-open the Revo thread eh?

Looks damn sexy, can't wait to get my meathooks on one of those babies.

And now, stuff on Zelda.

I personally don't think think that Nintendo needs to go through with this Revo addon stuff for Zelda. I realize how it could be an asset, but it won't be for me. When i get a Revo, i'm not gonna go and play an old game for some bits and peices i can do with a new controller (assuming the add on stuff isn't like playing through the fricken game with the controller), i'm gonna be too busy shitting my pants over the Revo titles i'll have gotten with the system.

Regarding the Revo add on stuff, all the power to Nintendo, but i'm not sure if i'll take them up on it.

When i saw the date in that report i pulled a kramer, and actually unintentionally flung my arms in the air and sent my swivel chair across the room with me in it. I was not expecting to see such an early date, which is probably one of the reasons i'm not believing it.

I'm with Forsety. Nintendo has said that will be a Gamecube title, mind you they did deny Wii functionality initially, or am i mistaken.

I really don't want this to be true. I was so looking forward to wrapping my hands around this one for way too long to have to buy a new console to play it.

If you're no good at exploration puzzles, then you won't get through Ocaraina of Time without a guide. I'm thinking the SNES Zelda you're talking about is LttP (Link to the Past). The last boss's name is Gannon.

Latley i've been feeding my addiction for Zelda with Majora's Mask. I'm just about to start the whole Water Temple thing, but it isn't easing my need for a new Zelda game at all. I'm praying that this TP being only for Wii announcement is total Bollocks, and i hope that Nintendo announces a release date for September, or as soon as freaking possible, cause i need new Zelda soon.

According to Reggie and the Nintendo E3 press conference, it will be launched alongside Wii in two formats, one for Gamecube, and one for Wii.

That may be a specific Goron Character, like Darmani, or Darunia. The amount of detail in that picture automatically makes me think that, but i could be wrong.

If you're right, and this is the basic look for a Goron in TP, then wow.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I think i enjoy Majora's Mask more than Ocarina of time, but only slightly. Ocarina had some memorable temples, and i must've played through it at least 12 times, but Majora's Mask is more intricate, and really lets you get in to the world around you moreso. Pretty much my only gripe with Majora's Mask is that it's too short. And my big Gripe with Ocarina is that you have to carrie each and every single Ruppee you collect with you.

Hopefully TP will top them both.

This isn't even a reason to hate Majora's Mask, if you find that stupid, then why aren't you complaining about how he got turned into one in the first place?

I'd like to see maybe a new villian. Ganon(dorf) could have like hired this new guy to eliminate the next incarnation of the Hero of Time, or something like that. I just think it's time for some variation, despite how awesome Ganon is.

Later in the serise, i want to see a huge elaborate connection between Ganon, and Majora (and the villian in TP if it's not Ganon). Connect all the games with a solid conspiracy thing going on. I love complex sub plots.

Both are really cool in their own rights. But as far as we know, they could be using both. What if the black and white area is whenever you're outdoors in the Twilight world, and the coloured one is whenever you're indoors, or something like that.

I almost wish TP wasn't for the Wii, for the same reason Hostile Creation stated above. It'd be nice to play one more Zelda in the traditional style before finally venturing off into the mysterious world of the Wii and it's potential.

I've been building TP up to be almost an extension of Ocaraina of Time which i consider to be a damn near perfect game.

I'm not sure what to think about the controller functions, such as shooting arrows by drawing the controller back. Sure it'll be cool at first, but i can imagine it getting tiring after a while, especially if you're trying to rain arrows down on an enemy.

Loved that video.

It's making me want to buy a Wii sooner than i plan to.

I'm thinking i'm gonna ask for money towards one for christmas. Either that, or i'll just ask for FFXII, and Kingdom Hears II and stuff for christmas and save my paychecks for a Wii in early 2007.

When the Wii releases i'm considering staying out of Mario's Warp Room until the day i own one of my own. We'll see what happens though.

Wasn't the original estimation for Ocaraina of Time 100 hours?

Also, keep in mind, he may or may not have included various side quests in his play time. The game itself might be 30-50 hours, but add optional quests and maybe that shoots it up to 70.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
