I enjoyed this episode, but i'm still just getting into Heroes, so i'm still a little shaky on everything that's going on. I'm assuming i missing some of the sence of mystery that the show originally put forth, which was to be resolved today, so it didn't seem all that spectacular to me.

I'm looking forward to next week's episode. Right now, more than anything, i'm just desperate for some more general info on the characters.

Quote:
Spoiler:
His exact original power is still a bit murky. He can sense when things are broken? That seems rather ambiguous. The idea that he's eating people's brains isn't too far off the mark, though I wonder exactly how eating a person's brain gives you their power. Is there more to his original power than just sensing when something is broken?
Spoiler:
Remember what he said to the telekenetic just before he killed him, something to the effect of it's a broken mutation or something like that. Maybe he can sense when things aren't working right, including mutuations, so he can assimilate their powers to his own.

Again, i'm totally inexperienced with this show, so i'm really just making wild assumptions.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well, during that "six months earlier" episode, he seemed pretty fucking freaked out and afraid he was floating 20 yards above his car, that's for damn sure heh
You wouldn't be if you suddenly were floating free 20 or so yards above your moving car on the freeway?

I actually had no memory of the nuclear guy before this episode. My dad and i started watching late into the series, so we were quite behind for a long time. We managed to get ahold of the first four or so episodes, but i guess i missed one.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

You seemed to be implying that Nathan was indeed afraid of heights due to that one scene. I was pointing out that anyone would be freaked out by suddenly finding themselves in open air for seemingly no reason at all while speeding down the highway.

Student of his? Were there spoilers released about this guy?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

ps "the future one" ????
Heh, yeah it was kinda late... Kinda out of it.

But I was more surprised when that Hannah character appeared with the ability to communicate through various energy-wave sources, such as wi-fi internet. They even used the same alias I came up with: Wireless.
I don't recall this character. Can someone enlighten me?

Quote:
Mr. Bennet: We still don't know his true agenda. I think it's a safe bet to assume he's working for this "Linderman" person, since Linderman seems to be at the heart and soul of all transactions so far. Linderman owns the sword with the genome marker, after all, right? 2 + 2 = 4.

Anyhow, I suspect that Mr. Bennet is on the list. He's working with other heroes, so why wouldn't he himself be empowered? And I am gonna predict Bennet's ability:

Spoiler:
Mr. Bennet can block the abilities of others, like a human "buffer".

"But Crash, isn't that what the Haitian Man does?" No. The Haitian man can rewrite peoples' memories. Let's recall specifically what Mr. Bennet said to the captive Sylar. To paraphrase, Bennet said that it was interesting that Sylar had demonstrated multiple abilities whereas none of the other heroes had displayed more than one. So, this would mean that even the Haitian man possessed only one skill.

Therefore, it's been a matter of cunning misdirection and camera tricks that have caused us to believe that the Haitian Man was blocking Sylar and Matt Parkman's abilities. When Mr. Bennet wasn't around, Sylar was able to use his telekinesis to pull Eden through the glass. Also, whenever Mr. Bennet wanted the Haitian Man or Eden to use their abilities on someone, he'd leave the room or make sure he was at a distance. As further proof, when Claire was visiting Peter in jail, Mr. Bennet was right there, which prevented Peter from absorbing Claire's healing ability and becoming well again. It's also why Mr. Bennet was able to control and manipulate Eden; she couldn't tell him what to do like so many others.
Two questions. 1. What happened to Sylar's powers when he was running away from the homecoming, and ran into Eden and the Haitian Man? and 2. I keep thinking that Claire was able to heal herself when he was around. Am i the only person who has this hanging around in their memory?

Quote:
Mohinder Suresh: Mr. Bennet paid Mohinder a visit, asked him a simple question: "Are you on the list?".

I bet the answer is yes.

This isn't really a spoiler, since I can't name Mohinder's ability. But we've seen that Mohinder's sister was "special" and was the reason Chandra Suresh became obsessed with the Human Genome Project. He also did his best to keep Mohinder away from the information, much like Mr. Bennet's tried to shelter Claire. They're on the list. Simple as that. Siblings have the tendency to have powers on this show.

What does Mohinder do? Who knows? But it'll be good, that's assured.
They still haven't really explained the boy that appeared in his dream back in India yet. I wonder if his power has something to do with the boy. But honestly, i have no idea what it would be.

I've had many ideas stolen from my brain during the years. I'm quite sure several companies have brain scanners they use to filter out ideas from people's minds every now and then. :P
I too have had that happen to me countless times. Mostly with comedy routines. I'll come up with an idea, and work on it for a while, only to see a comedian do it first. Bill Amend, the author of Fox Trot also seemed to be reading my mind for quite a while.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

One thing that is getting me a bit is what Niki, D.L and Micah have to do with the big picture in all of this. It seems about the only connection they have had is with running into another hero at points, and that Niki stole money from Linderman, and that's it...but maybe that's all that they have to do with the story, but if that's true, why were they in Peter's vision wheras Ted was not, nor Eden or even Bennett.
Remember, Niki/Jessica was sent to Nathan's hotel room in Vegas to gain compramising footage of him, just in case he decides to go back on his deal with Linderman. Niki (I guess she was Jessica at the time) freaking slept with Nathan, that's quite a connection.

Also, remember, Eden is dead. That could be why she wasn't in Peter's vision. Maybe this means that Ted and Bennet will be out of the picture before the explosion.

(who's Ted again? drawing a blank here)

I was speaking idiomatically.

Wow, thanks for the translation, Drex. I had no idea what Grail was talking about. Does anyone actually call soda, pop? That sounds like something out of the 1920's.

"I'm gonna get me some'a dat dere pop. Twenty-three skidoo."
For the record, every single canadian i've met, and everybody i know calls it pop.

As for this past episode, interesting. My dad watched it first and taped it for me, as i was out last night and tonight. He told me lots got answered, but i have more questions than answers right now.

I'm assuming i wasn't the only one who noticed the Hatian Man's necklace was the same symbol as Jessica's tattoo.

We still don't know the true motives behind Bennet's company, or what they do for that matter.

How exactly does the company go about finding these people? If they are able to just pick up people who they know have powers, then shouldn't Hiro have been recognized by his father?

Those are the three big ones on my mind. And how much you wanna bet Lindermann's in charge of this company.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Mostly, though, I want to know if the information is in the comic he sent off, in the sketchbook that he gave away, or if he gives Sylar his power and Sylar reveals the method, or if the simple fact that he integrated one too many DNA strings messes him up enough to reveal his weakness, or what.
Weakness?

I'm not really sure he has just one weakness. He's far from all powerful. We saw this when Mohinder took him out with the black board on wheels. If Mohinder had had enough sense, he could've ended it right then and there. Just grab something sharp and do some neck damage. I don't think Sylar is beyond killing by conventional means.

If this is true however, then i'm wondering why Mohinder didn't just "unload" on him, as was mentioned above. I'm having a hard time remembering before the break. Why didn't he just kill Sylar back when he nailed him with the sedative and had him restrained?

Totally broken up over Isaac's death though. He was my favourite character. When we saw him dead the first time Hiro went to the future, i was so hoping that would be changed.
