I used to not complain if I got a rare steask if I asked for medium rare, or if I received one less patty on my burger. But now I'm relentless, I've been burned too many times. The thing I normally do is though eat a significant portion before taking it back, I've eaten so much as 2/3's of a steak before taking it back. I've never had any trouble with it either, I think it's because they can tell I will get pretty vocal and want back down. Most nice restaurants don't want a madman yelling in the dining room.
