As part of the four-year contract a host of new features will be available for the handheld, enabling it to make video and voice calls over the Internet using BT's already-established broadband services. At first the PSP will only be able to communicate with other PSP owners and users of BT's Softphone service, which enables PC owners to communicate with other Softphones via the Internet. However, eventually new features will be added to ensure PSP owners can call and message PCs, land lines and mobile phones.

David Reeves, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, said: "It is very exciting for us to be partnering with BT on such a unique project. The opportunity to combine our market leading expertise with BT's knowledge in communications opens up many possibilities and we look forward to bringing many exciting communication functions to PSP fans."
Hahaha, PSP has become the new N-Gage. Get ready for more side-talking.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

There's headphones and a cable microphone - no side-talking of any kind. If this supports VoIP, it's going to be pretty damn awesome.
True, but still not very practical as a mobile phone. The PSP, with all the necessary accessories, is too bulky to just toss in your pocket. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my PSP, but this seems kind of pointless when obtaining a more convenient phone is so easy to do.

How ya doing, buddy?

I really wanted to like Patapon, but it gets very repetitive. Pick up Final Fantasy Tactics; even if you have it for PS1, you must play it again.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
