New Infraction System?
I've seen several mentions in the journals of a new warning/banning system that uses points for infractions. Is there a thread or FAQ somewhere giving details about exactly how this works (i.e., point values for different offenses, how long points last)? I'm just curious if there's something written out for the community at large, or if this is an arbitrary system.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I didn't really think it was arbitrary, but everyone's being all hush-hush about it. Does it show up in a person's public profile? Dagget, for example, just made an entry about getting an infraction, but I don't see it anywhere in his profile.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
That's a valid point (see Lehah), but one of the big points from the GFF community meeting was more transparency in mod actions. If mods are handing out infractions behind the scenes, with no public guidelines on what constitutes an infraction, then how are we any better off than we were before?
This isn't to say I don't think the new infraction system is bad; from what I've seen it's working. I just want to know more about it. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
