I've got River City Ransom for GBA, but having a save state feature would be a welcome addition.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

But Critter Round-up! Wasn't that the American-developed animal-herding puzzle game that launched with Wiiware in Japan? I thought that was supposed to be pretty good.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You have to love Nintendo, charging us extra for a title that is available in loads of other places (including XBLA) for cheaper.

If you don't already own Sonic the Hedgehog on some console, you don't deserve to play video games. Just give your Wii to someone who cares.

You know, even Strong Bad is a bit of a rip-off on Wii, if I understand the pricing structure. There are/will be 5 episodes. On PC, each episode is $9, or you can get a subscription for all 5 for $35. On Wii, they're $10 apiece, and there's no subscription.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

The dollar I wouldn't fret about ($5 total), but not being able to get a subscription, thus saving $10-15, is a steep increase.

In other news regarding the gift system, I finally got Super Mario RPG. Go figure they're not gonna send you a message saying that someone sent it. You actually have to go inside the store now.

And here I was waiting for two days to get that message.
Sometimes you get a message, sometimes you don't. Good old Nintendo.

How ya doing, buddy?

Same here. I fought off the temptation to buy SMRPG last week because I've been spending the majority of my gaming time with Vesperia.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Is there really a need to have separate threads for VC and WiiWare? They come out at the same time, and my inclination is to discuss them as one release.

Megaman 2 is awesome, but most people have it in some form already. At least it means MM9 isn't too far away.

The other game on WiiWare is PLÄTTCHEN twist 'n' paint for 1,000 points. Some kind of puzzle/shooter that will be completely overshadowed by MM9. Dodgeball is tempting, though.

Has anyone tried out Orbient? After hearing it was actually one of the GBA Bit Generations titles, I was interested, then I watched the video on the Nintendo Channel and was less than wowed. Now I'm reading the stellar reviews that say that the visuals don't do the game justice.

I doubt you'll find any cards anyway. I was at the TRU in Virginia Beach at opening yesterday and bought the last of them there, and from what folks are saying on CAG, the same thing happened most places. This was a case of TRU having a sale, but not ordering any extra stock to satisfy demand.

$12 for Tetris, a game we all have several versions of by now, is hard to swallow. Sure, it's got balance board and wii-mote support, but it's still very easy to find a match on Tetris DS. Why drop $12 more?

I'm somewhat curious about Incredible Maze, because it's only $5 and includes balance board support. Then again, I wasn't that great at the ball-maze minigame in Wii Fit.

I believe Japan got the original Ogre Battle this week; hopefully that will make its way over here.

Fun fact: Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam is a byproduct of Keebler Elf porn films.

I looked at the thread from last year, and I started something like December 11, but that was because I had to wait for Nintendo to release the gifting feature. I'm planning to start it up shortly after Thanksgiving, once everyone starts thinking about the holidays, and I'll leave sign-ups open for a few weeks.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Similar to horseshoes, Bags is a deceptively simple yet extremely competitive game where players try to toss beanbags into a hole in a slightly raised platform or "box" for points. Whether at a tailgate party or a summer barbecue, the game has become a social focal point, and the unmistakable thud of bags hitting the box is now a universal party soundtrack.
At long last you can finally play Cornhole with your Wii.

I'm curious to read some impressions of Snowboard Riot. It uses the balance board, and from the previews I've read, it has weapon powerups a la Mario Kart, plus wifi support.

It's actually Crystal Defenders R1 (Round 1). That's right, Square-Enix has found a way to price gouge even more on this game. On iPhone, you can get all 3 rounds for $8, and all three rounds are available on XBLA for $10. Why in the hell are they charging $24 for the same game on Wii?

Is FFIV:TAF the full version, or part 1 of 9? I've read conflicting reports, and I wouldn't put it past Square to charge $72 for the full game.

I'm reading now that there's one additional chapter (Rydia) posted for 300 points. Hopefully additional chapters will cost that much as well.

Does this Mr. Driller have anything new about it, or should I just stick with XBLA/DS/GBA/DC?
