The thing I hate most about my job is that every time the phone rings, I know it's a dentist on the other end of the line and that nine times out of ten he's going to talk to me like he thinks I'm a sub-human who can barely hold down my end of the conversation because a)he is a dentist and I'm not, and b)I have a southern accent, which (in most people's minds) makes me stupid.
I hate condescending people, and I hate being told, "Now read that message back to me," by someone who is more educated that I am, but probably isn't as smart. So there. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
