Asking out to Prom?

You could just walk up to her and say, "So, what time do you want me to pick you up for the prom?"

Whatever you do, don't make a huge deal over asking her. She'll think you're creepy if you do.

Depends on the girl. I'd be much more likely to laugh at a guy who had the balls to say something like that (and then say yes) than I would be to agree to go to the prom with a guy who was visibly nervous about asking me.

But I think we've already established that you and I like different types of guys.

Must suck being a guy, is all I have to say.

That's a good question! Unfortunately I don't have a good answer, as I have a really bad track record of picking guys who are extremely "confident" only to find out later that they are, in fact, vain monkey wannabes.
