I have heard that carbon monoxide, before it is lethal, is a potent hallucinogenic.
If you had a bad chimney and went to sleep with a fire on you may wake up tripping balls. Of course, you wouldn't know you are tripping balls, and you'd think you are seeing spirits or something. I have heard this as an explanation for a lot of visions people had in old mansions. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
