It'll be interesting to see whether any companies have been able to make decent use of the new hardware yet and what Watchdogs looks like a year on. It's a shame that everything seems to be a sequel now but the video game industry has become almost as risk averse as Hollywood lately in terms of making new stuff rather than churning out endless repetitions of established IPs. I'm planning on getting a PS4 at some point this year, assuming there are some games that aren't Battlefield and CoD. A big rpg would be nice!

I wouldn't write MS off just yet. The original Xbox was brutalised sales-wise by the PS2 by they came back way stronger with the 360 which was a massive success and unlike Nintendo, MS as a company will survive relatively weak sales of a console for a few years whereas the Wii U is surely Nintendo's last bit of hardware before they follow Sega into life as a software company.

Also that is secondary news to the fact that CoD is apparently now Halo which will blow the tiny minds of a lot of fanboys.
