I've had this pre-ordered for fucking ages now and the release date keeps slipping. It was originally supposed to have come out in July of this year, current estimates are saying Q1 2010.

It's out in Germany already? It's not out till the 8th of January here. It's not often they stagger the European release of a game.

edit: Oops, my mistake, it's GAME.co.uk who are giving away the replica gun, Amazon are just selling it for £35 (i.e. £5 cheaper).

Wow, the tv ads for this are some of the worst I've seen for a game in a long, long time. If I didn't know anything about the game, I certainly wouldn't buy it based on this.

The tune itself isn't terrible, it's more that a game that's primarily fast-paced running about silly bollocks has none of that in the trailer. It just looks like Sarah Palin taking a slow stroll through a pixelated landscape. Over here at least, Bayonetta is a PS3 ad and Sony's adverts have been getting worse and worse recently so I wouldn't be surprised if they had a hand in this too.

The real problem is the autosave system that makes pure platinuming stuff more trouble than it's worth, with the inability to retry verses thanks to the autosaving after obtaining your grade. They're probably pissing themselves laughing at all the OCD achievement whores bitching about it on the GameFAQS message boards (One assumes). If I was making a game I'd be sure to put in at least one achievement that'd just be annoying to get to wind up all the kids that shit their pants when they can't get a perfect achievement score. Heh, maybe put one in that just randomly pops up with a really low chance or only on certain copies of the game but if anyone asks tell them it's to do with in-game stats and have a good chuckle at people trying to work out what causes it.

So yeah, trolling the gamers sounds pretty funny to me.
