Whose side are the army on?

That tends to be the deciding factor in these things.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

This apparently is the majority of the Twitter stuff going around.

Some people are saying they're agreeing to manually re-count the votes.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

They're shipping out foreign journalists by the looks of things so one would imagine the troops are gearing up for a bloodbath, should the protests resume.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Cum voteaz? mor?ii în Republica Moldova - Cotidianul

I know you can't read Romanian, but there are reports that thousands of dead people voted Communist.
Ah, the old ones are the best eh?

Apparently the Russians are saying that the riots were planned by a rogue group who want the country to become part of Romania and as such, the protesters are enemies of sovreignty. It'll be interesting to see how far Russia will support the communists if it turns out they rigged the election. It's one thing for an African country to ignore th UN telling them to hold a fair election but Moldova are going to fuck any future membership of the EU if they cheat this one.

As far as I'm aware, the driving force behind the protests were a group who want the country to become part of Romania which would mean further distance from Russia and the benefits of getting into the EU (Is Romania in the EU? I can never remember who is or not). A Communist government would be considered closer to Russia, despite their democratic government and breaking away via a change in government is likely to result in far less danger of having the Russian army stroll in to keep them "Local".

At least that's how I understand it but that's a mix of sketchy information and speculation on my part.

I was speaking idiomatically.
