The company running the trials will have to tell the Revenue the NI numbers of everyone on the trials. The Revenue will then reduce your tax free personal allowance next year by the amount you earn for the trial so whilst you won't get taxed directly on the earnings, you will pay tax by having your tax free earnings level next year reduced by £2,500. There's no such thing as tax free income, expecially in this country... Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
