I smoke while driving my manual car all the time, it's really not much different from an automatic. I mean, f you can manage typing with a cigarette in your fingers, you can manipulate a steering wheel as well. Of course, I smoke with my left hand while driving so I can flick it out the window, but it might be a different story if you're using the ashtray.
