[Anime] Naruto

There has just been little going on in the anime as of lately to really let him "shine" (AKA: Have a real shinobi to fight).

Anyone else gonna watch the last few episodes before the fillers started and then skip the 20-something of them or whatever...to see if we missed anything?

The difference between battles (What I assume to resemble DBZ...I won't go into power levels) is that Dragonball takes 4 episodes for an attack, but 4 episode fights in Naruto actually have a variety of things occuring.

I started the anime when they were at like episode 10, but had no idea the manga was that far ahead. I loved the fight scenes and some of the downright badass clever things. I still don't read the manga because I'd like to see what happens in the animated version.

No. Japanese Gai's voice is way better. He overdoes it sometimes, but that's why it fits the character. So far, the dub voice didn't impress me.

ALL the Japanese voices.

But the single-largest annoyance is Naruto in English always yelling "Believe it!" The only voice actor in English that I really like no matter what character he played (although I wanted him for Kakashi) was Steve Blum. He was unfortunately squeezed into just a few episodes

I was referring to the english dub that was released and is currently airing on cartoon network. That sucks.

I watched the Chuunin exams last night. Nice to see Anko holding her neck from time to time. Its good to have fillers here and there that can link back to something and your second time watching say "YAY! It makes more sense!"

Hey guys, when posting nothing but a spoiler, be sure to differentiate between the anime and the manga. I for one, have not read the manga, so I'd hate to click a spoiler for the manga and not know which it was.

I've just assumed that the reason behind all of the fillers is related to one of the voice actors and an inability to have them in the studio and thus progressing the story. I wish more fillers were like the uhh--snake girl one. It took a past incident and elaborated on the storyline. Rather than presenting new silly villains, present those not previously shown, but can be related to the past of one of the characters.

They removed it and supposedly killed him til Chiyosuke and Sakura came by to have a long battle with Sasori. You'll love that
