Oh Jesus fuck people, its like you're watching some dubbed shit on Cartoon Network then find out that the original Japanese voices sound more normal. I hope you all get your Japanese copies of the game in outrage then realize you've wasted a ton of money to take away your multiplayer capabilities.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The best part is that all of you bitching about these minor details are still going to buy the game and love it and jerk off to it. Stop pretending to be some jackass critic.

You're just a kid playing video games. Shut up and play.

I for one will say fuck you all after I go home. I'd like to, you know, unlock characters to be able to friggin use them.

Fake edit: Then lovingly request friend codes.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, I'll have my roommate here to play it along with another bud and perhaps one of the girls from GameStop, so I'll have a 4-player party of my own.

We could always use Team Speak or something.
Ding ding ding.

And I would be glad to toss a server up. My roommate doesn't use anything thats bandwidth intensive, so he could tolerate it.

Well I sadly don't have a static IP, so here's the current info:

70.130.195.182:8767

I'll leave it on as long as my PC is running (which is usually forever) starting today.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Ventrilo...Isn't that supposed to be the #1 voice chat client for gamers? I thought it was huge with WoW and CS:S clans.
Good point, lets take advice from two of the most retarded online gaming factions.

I know its not saying much, but I'm somewhat confident in Gamingforce's general age among players to be a bit higher than what you're describing from Xbox live.

This is probably why Nintendo didn't bother putting in voice chat for the game.
Why roll out a Wii-specific headset when you'll most likely hear some "Dude I haven't showered in two days I've been playing Smash Bros hyuck hyuck" or "FUCK YOU FAGGOT YOU FUCKING CHEATER!!! AAAAAGHGHHGHGHGH! SHUT THE FUCK UP MOM I'M PLAYING A GAME FUCK FUaaAAGHHHGHHhhhCK!!!"
I'm failing to see how suddenly this "new concept" of voice chat is terrifying. You guys are acting like this is new water to be treading in and that somehow any pleasant experiences you've had with a video gaming voice-chat platform are going to be ruined by this "inevitable" tragedy.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well, I'm not terrified by voice chat, but I'm just thinking that Nintendo is terrified by it.
Aside from them using it on their DS and all.

Ok, this is a question because I'm too lazy to go look it up or read through all 50+ pages of smash thread-age in order to find out.

Does this game have it's own friend codes or does it just run from the wii system friend codes?
AHAHAHAHAHAH, as if Nintendo fixed that issue. You're silly.

So yes, it does use its own friend code.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Man, I gotta use a different friend code for this game? =\ I hate the friend code system. Anyways, my friend code is 2320-5771-6207 for when everyone else gets their copy. =O (I'm sure we'll have an official friend code thread though)
We do.

We may have a friend code for the wii system but apparently not the game
You'd prefer a separate thread for the codes for each game?

Lol, even the Miles, the admin, didn't read the new thread title. Bravo.
The title was changed after he asked his question.

Right here, sir.

I'm going to go get a can of compressed air to see if that fixes it - if not, I guess it's time to ship the Wii out to Nintendo.
Good point. Surely if one game does not work, the console is broken. I'll assume its been sitting on the shelf for a while and collected dust. Did you, ya know, try a different disc?

PS - Check out my upcoming CJ entry for my SMASH WAIT adventure.
Mine was hardly an adventure since basically I went up at 9PM and hung out with the girls at GameStop and we went out to eat. Although it was fun being inside the store playing while some fat fucks drooled outside.

Then I just sat inside playing Pokemon with the girls until Midnight and hung out til close. NO ADVENTURE FOR ME.

But for those who are wondering about character unlocks, there are multiple methods for some of them, so basically try a little bit of everything to unlock them.

For people still having trouble unlocking Sonic(if that's any of you) the easiest way to do it is to beat Classic Mode with 10 different people.
I beg to differ. I turned on a brawl, went to work, came back, and poof, Sonic time.

I'm pretty sure that those who haven't added you to their list are those like myself who are playing through the game first in single player mode. Have some patience, people.

I saw so many Pikachu x Samus/ZSS pictures and decided it would be great to make an odd pixelated version myself. =)))
I've got a bunch I can contribute from a few days where 4chan had a pretty big boner for the pair.

Today's completely un-important update: Boss Battle Mode

Anyone heard of it?
Well its pretty easy to unlock the mode, but ugh some of the challenges for this mode are probably going to be cracked with a hammer. I'm still sitting on four of them, wondering what challenges to use one on.

How ya doing, buddy?

You might want to read up on that. I recall reading that a lot of the Boss mode challenges are un-hammerable. Wouldn't be too much fun blowing through hammers trying to break these and getting nothing in return.
Can you confirm that it is possible to use a hammer and lose it despite the challenge not being smashed?

Yeah I got sick of people bitching about me not adding them to my list, so I put up a few names in mine and tried out the friend brawls.

Also FU Max and getting all the assists, hammers, and smash balls

Speaking of multi-man....I need to do the 15-minute one. I got to about 2 minutes left before being KO'ed as Kirby. Odd thing was getting to about 200% before going...

100-man wasn't that hard for me, although it was fun with the 15-minute one and trying for about 400 kills. My goal is 500.

Or that none of his friends have it yet and therefore he will become "that guy."

Also, in brawls, my "Marth" clearly has the announcer saying "Munch!"
