There's nowhere in town that seems to sell the PC version, so I'll have to wait even longer to wait for the online purchase to go through.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Woot! My EB called me because they found a copy of the PC version mixed in with their others!

*installs* Too bad I work tonight.

Ugh.....seems my gamepad forces my character to walk when in missions and sometimes cities. Took 3 hours to get to level 3 and I don't see this speeding up any time soon. Am I alone on this issue?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I prefer not to use the mouse if I have to use the keyboard...used to shooters. I'll be on this afternoon with a buddy on Universe 6 probably.

Bah, keyboard settings still move me slowly and attack slowly. Starting to think it's a problem with my installation of the game...

No, simply that the movement has no way to "toggle" run..and it should be running automatically. I'll just see what tech support says. Meanwhile I'll use the gamepad for the SP.

Well it seems my gameplay issues earlier were relevant to my resolution settings. Apparently for their recommended settings on the game being the Radeon 8500 (GeForce MX series), they actually mean that if you want to run it on the best AGP card made by ATI, you have to lower your settings. How lame.

Game runs fine, got from level 2 to level 10 in 4 hours last night. Yay.

How ya doing, buddy?

Oh Christ....I spent 2000 meseta on a new rifle and it worked out well. My new 8600 meseta rifle with double the ATP.....does less damage!

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

You most likely wont be hit much. (if at all) Well, at least you shouldn't be hit much if you're doing your job right.

They have much more accuracy, which is a bigger deal than most people think.

They can crowd control better than forces sometimes.
Uhh......no.

My frost bullet is at level 10 and the accuracy is only 70, if that. At level 25 we're still hitting for what Forces typically would hit for at level 5. Sure we have more PP, but you know what 1400PP does for us compared to 800 for a Force?

Example:
Say they use 20PP to hit for 200 damage.
We use 10PP to hit for 50 damage.

The range is such a nonissue. No targetting makes it easier to miss. We're restricted to 4 bullets, which have crap damage. Rangers. Suck.

As far as I can tell, at least to 30.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

It's a shame I have to run in with a sabre just to be able to hit a few enemies at once just to get SOME XP before the Forces kill them all. That's what I do. Shoot, run to the back, hit the other guys, then start looting, because it's over by then.

Rangers got such a huge shaft in PSU.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

But don't you think that 70 damage per hit compared to 400 is.......a bit uneven?

Forces are the powerhouses in the game anyway. They will outdamage anyone, even a Hunter w/ +10 S-Rank whatever with the highest ATP possible and at maximum level PA.

Their TP is just that tremendous.
At level 18 I'm hitting bots in the temple for 40 and the humanoids for 70.
The rhinos I hit for 60.

I did some math on a few shots and after 200 data points, on average I'm hitting for 54. This is with the Saiyuhoh

Well, for a character who bought it at level 15, it sure as hell was pretty high-grade for my pockets. 8600 meseta isn't easy to come by when I'm the farthest one away from all the loot to get.

Took me 9 temple runs to earn that. And yes, with each of the 4 types against them, frost did just a bit more than the rest (level 10 as opposed to 7 on the rest). Still doesn't quite add up.

Takes a while to solo the level 15 areas at my level.

Unfortunately 15 minute boss runs with a group yield better cash. Just praying I find a shotgun some time soon so I can join in on the XP fun.

As far as the looting, that's for the items. All the "good" stuff I find are just boards for food and the occasional Kubara Wood. I'm not a high enough level to do the B's yet, so I'll have to stick with about 700 per run. You're assuming I pick up meseta 6 times.

Or are you just talking about wanting something hovering over your shoulder? The mag attacks were such a non-critical part of PSO that you can't say their help in combat was all that great. The only difference I see is in using new items that require huge ATP etc.

BTW, someone come kill stuff with me (Lukage, U3)!

PSO had more items to get earlier on. It was nice having two characters at level 30 (and that took a decent amount of time to get there) and NOT having the same items.

Also, the grind is repetitive...broke a weapon on a +5 grinder, lame.

Wow, got some new armor and bought an item slot to raise ATP. What a huge difference that makes. I think I'm almost interested in playing my hunter now!

I played this only in the first month. Is there any reason to come back to it? Because I'm enjoying PSO much more.

I didn't get incredibly far, but I had chosen one of the classes that sucked, period, and there was no item to balance me with everyone else.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
