I was 3rd in line, got there at 6:30. They had 8. 14 people waited in line because they're retards.

WiiGet is complete!

The line pretty early:

After a plethora of Red Steels cancelled and moved to the console:

Doubtful that you'd get one, but you should check out the Best Buy at Mid Rivers or whatever that mall is in O'Fallon. There's no BS in the fact that we got up early to get what we want.

Yesterday it's all "Nah, I don't need to wait in line."

Now it's all "ZOMG I SHOULD HAVE SAT IN THE COLD!"

I should also note that my mall opens at 6:30AM. I didn't have to get cold at all. Sat right in front of the store.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Yes, they were there, but stop stalking me. I've known about the mall-walkers for a while, though.

At 6am, I started in 5th place, but ended up in 8th by opening hour. Plus, people cut behind me too, so whoever was further back in line might have gotten screwed over due to that.
Nope, polite people at my location!

We didn't have cards or anything, the guy just counted. We did keep telling #9 and on "You know...they only have eight."

Basically just count on the most popular games first, then the gems that are good but not all that popular much later on. 30 games confirmed in the launch window.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

According to the Washington Post:

“And it was announced that the first 500,000 PS3 buyers will get a free Blu-ray DVD of “Talladega Nights” - reason enough to consider buying the Nintendo Wii instead.”

Matt tested the system out and goes through all the settings and stuff....10+ minute video and it squashes sensitivity issues, etc.

Gotta give this a view! Watch the latest one!

*sigh* The Donkey Kong series was one of my favorites on the SNES... I guess we'll get it eventually!
And, quite frankly, I don't care as much about what VC titles the Wii is launching with, since I'll be drowning in the new Zelda, and by the time I'm ready to move on they'll have like every game ever concieved available on the VC, assuming they DO release 10 games a month on it.
Exactly. They're saving the popular games for droughts. So when summer is here and their best release is "Paint Drying: Watch it Before Your Eyes!," they can release, say, Ocarina of Time?

If it isn't propriety then I'll be hitting up BestBuy for the 2GB card for... wait for it... less than the Nintendo 1GB card.
Whenever I see the deals, I post them. I think my 2GB was $45.

Has anyone seen the Wii startup logo thingy?

I've yet to see it, unless the recent walkthrough that Matt did on IGN is it (which indicates there is none).

On the time per day thing, there was an article (can't find it now) about Xfire considering adding support for Wii games.

Might be a signal.

Ask the store that you're purchasing it at. My EB claims that they haven't heard from Mall Security about whether or not they'll be allowed to do it.

If your DS is charged before you go, I see no way that you'll run of out battery power. It should last plenty long.

Our EB says that if they're allowed to do the midnight release, I'm welcome to peacefully loiter with a sign indicating I'm starting the Wii line until they close. Unfortunately at about 10PM I'd get sent outside to wait there for 2 hours.
