I use mp3tagstudio and mp3tag. mp3tag makes a lot more sense and basically does all the same stuff that mp3tagstudio does. mp3tagstudio kind of has a learning curve to it, but once you figure it out it's not too shabby for rearranging file names to a specific way you like.
To each their own on their naming preferences, but I go with each folder containing its own album, and within that going with the basic: TrackNumber - Title. Since it's already tagged as being part of a specific album in the tag, and seperated out in its own folder, it would seem redundant to have the artists' name in the file name, too. And when I need to do a compilation album/soundtrack, I usually go with: TrackNumber - Title (Artist) It seems to mesh pretty well with my iPhone. ![]() Jam it back in, in the dark. |
