I've been taking karate for years. Well, when I was 19 I started getting this pain in my right knee. I was at college when this happened, so it wasn't an injury (past or present) that I received in karate (unless my sensei is Chuck Norris and it was from the future...ok, that was lame).

The pain would just come and go sometimes, but it was the strongest whenever I climbed up a hill, a set of stairs, or danced. Around March of this year, a girl about 3 years older than me reported the same problem in the same knee and went to Health Services for it. It turned out that it was arthritis. I know that it sounds like it could be other things, but the symptoms matched up PERFECTLY (and there is a history of arthritis in my family and I'm a Capricorn= knee problems if you believe in Astrology).

It's crazy b/c no one in my family before now has reported having arthritis at such a young age. I am studying more on homeopedic (sp?) medicine and herbology to see what they have to say about it.

You know, as I was reading the Kevin Trudeau book Weight Loss Secrets "They" Don't Want You To Know About, I thought it was a load of crap with the whole thing about food hormones causing early puberty and suntan lotion causing more skin cancer than the actual sun. However, I think he might be on to something about why we are aging quicker now. I won't go into more detail since a lot of people on here probably believe it's a load of crock, but it is an interesting read I'll give it that (you decide whether or not it's real).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

You've piqued my interest, though. Give me a general idea of what he was talking about.
I didn't pay money, I went to the library . I'm normally skeptical about this sort of thing (and still am), but he does make some interesting points that make you think "Hmmm...he does have a point there, and I can see where he's coming from."

Basically, he says that the government and doctors are doing what doctors and apothecaries did a long time ago in the Middle Ages. They give us medicines that will cure the symptoms, but doesn't solve the problem and they cause other symptoms to occur so we will spend more money on medicine. Things that were once listed as mild problems are now being called diseases b/c the drug companies have the main responsibility of making more money for their stockholders rather than curing people. He then discusses about how there are natural cures that could cure different diseases but the government doesn't want you to know about it b/c you can't patent an herb. If you find the larger version it lists some natural cures for different ailments, but I haven't tried them.

However, it may be a mix of truth and lies. I thought it was interesting reading, but I am still skeptical about it. However, I would still recommend it to at least get a different picture of the world (especially if you are into conspiracy theories ). He goes into different details about how chemicals are making us fat in the US and how food has lost a lot of vitamines and how the government has been paid by the FDA to keep hundreds of chemicals under the heading of "natural ingredients". He mentions some things like organic apple cider and grapefruit that can help people lose weight and such in the smaller version; but for the main cures for allergies and such it's in the bigger version.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

A personal tips from me:

Eat raw pumpkin seeds everyday.

Pumpkin Seeds contain iron, B vitamins, and trace minerals. It is also a natural source of magnesium, phosphorus, selenium, zinc, vitamin A, and vitamin C.

The benefits of eating nuts and seeds are a lot.
Awesome. I've been trying to read up on health and such, but there's so many contradictory statements out there that it's hard to determine which one is true and which one is false. The basic ones I can understand (exercise, limit fast food, etc.), but whether or not caffine harms more than it helps and such are the things that become difficult since you have research that can prove both sides.

Thanks for the pumpkin seed suggestion. If I can find some I'll try to test it out. Also, taking 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar before every meal (or using it instead of dressing on salads) is suppose to help break down food better and help in weight lost.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Normally, if it's natural stuff, I like to give it a try since I don't have any food allergies and there's a low possibility of it doing something serious to you (unlike man-made chemical products such as diet pills). I got the apple cider vinegar thing from that Kevin Trudeau book I made reference to earlier. I don't believe/disbelieve what the person said about pumpkin seeds, I just think it would be interesting to try to see if it works.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
