I've found to my cost that Linksys products aren't well built or reliable. I should've known better; they are a division of Cisco Systems after all V_V. I've been using a Netgear router for a while now; excellent quality in comparison and a lot more reliable. It also seems more tolerant of poor line quality. I'm sure you could find a router they produce specific to gaming.
