Well, Star Wars is pretty much a B-movie as well, and it's one of the most highly regarded movies of all time (which would be much better suited for the "epic space opera" line). B-movie doesn't really mean much regarding a movie's popularity, influence, or even quality aside from not really having big-name actors.
