Well....that was unexpected. I think it's a little bizzare really...Spawn was a stretch, but now Star Wars characters in Soul Calibur? I'm confused as to WHY and HOW they put Yoda and Darth Vader into the game. Granted, it's not the first time we've seen
Star Wars characters in a fighting game, but something like Nariko from Heavenly Sword or Reiner from Kingdom Under Fire would seem to fit the Soul Calibur universe a little better, plus I don't see how they managed to get the license to use them. I guess they just were looking for something to give them a boost to their sales numbers and picked whatever took the top spot on Amazon sales records. Which oddly seems to be what many fighting games are doing it seems...
Oh well, it doesn't matter much given that it's just an extra character for each version. It'd be nice if they made both characters downloadable or available in a "gold edition" sometime down the road just so that the Star Wars fans that dream of having a Yoda vs. Darth Vader match will get the chance to. An unlockable Soul Calibur 1 would be a much sweeter addition though.

Come on guys, you aren't being nerdy enough. They say at the beginning of every Star Wars movie that it takes place "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" so clearly they just cryogenically froze themselves and jettisoned here in some sort of space capsule!

Well that would make sense if it weren't for the fact that both characters died during the course of the Star Wars movies. I don't think even nerd logic can explain this one away.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
