The Immigration Protests

To be frank, I don't think it's such a horrible thing. I can understand why everyone is screaming sacrilege, but I think the translation helps the immigrants understand the merit of each word in the Star Spangled Banner.

I don't think it'll die that easily. It's bounds to be effectively used to support the cause. The leaders doing the protests are not oblivious or dumb.

I'm all for the wall. I just hope it's daunting enough to be an effective deterrant.

Also, Gumby is right. Educated soldiers fight smarter and more efficiently. It all works towards a successful victory in the long haul. However, the U.S. has always relied on its minority populations to serve in the frontlines. You have to send someone when recruiting numbers are thinning out.
It also looks like Bush's speech Monday breathed some new life for the Dream Act. Pretty controversial, especially the provision detailing an eventual chance for citizenship.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I don't have that problem in my school, Gumby. Well, it's an Academy, so you can't really get away with not speaking proper English, I guess. But generally in my region, you're pretty much right. I see a vast amount of immigrants not putting forth the necessary effort and initiative to integrate into American society. I think we should make our forms and things so difficult that learning English is a pressing prerequisite. That'll make a great incentive to learn the language. Agreed?

Oh, that's fucked up. My school is really good on diversity. No one generally has problems with another's race or something. Although, I have to admit that we had a drug episode, but that's done and over with because the perp. got pwned... You gotta make your child really smart I guess.
