While I enjoy their music quite a lot, I don't really listen to them when my ears thirst for metal. I guess early X Japan or some stuff by the Konami Kukeiha Club come quite close though.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Uh oh, I've seen that one before: Someone wants to talk about Japanese metal and 20 posts later it's that lame old "are Dir en grey (still) this or that" discussion all over again, one of my all-time-favorites next to "did Genesis suck after Gabriel" and "where Metallica right to sue Napster". We'll be lucky if we get over it before page three.

Yes, they're more on the hard rock side, but assorted tracks are heavy enough to do the job.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I used to follow Moi dix Mois releases with mild interest due to the intriguing last album of the founder's previous band, Malice Mizer. The latter was more of a gothic project though and while the occasional heavy song by them turned out rather well, it was still a different ball game. Suffice to say that by now I'm less than impressed by the generic, tired mess that is Moi dix Mois.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
