Won't happen, as killmoms already stated, it relies heavily on Windows-specific stuff (read: DirectShow). But for a DS/codec based player on Windows, it's as good as it gets.

About a cross-platform library for advanced subs: While it would be neat, I'd really like to see more groups wising up and go for hardcoded releases. Not just to please us non-Windows kids but for all the people with standalone players as well.
