That will give you a little background about the mobile sector. I can't really explain much more than what that article does. It seems that now an Intel Core laptop is your best bet for bang for the buck. Here is some info on the differences between Core Duo and Core 2 Duo: http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets...spx?i=2808&p=1 As much as I hate to admit it, if I were to buy a laptop right now, I would get an Intel based one.
